So I was bored at work and engaged in some loose speculation. This is an idea that the Moon, Mars and suppression of energy technology on Earth are all connected:

In the distant past, an advanced civilization thrived on the planet Mars. They developed remarkable technologies, including the ability to tap into the fundamental energy gradient between planets and stars – what some today call “free energy”. This energy, sometimes referred to as the aether, permeates the solar system and galaxy in a vast, complex, and poorly understood dynamical system. The Martian civilization learned to harness this energy in ways similar to how electrical systems on Earth function, with the ground and ionosphere acting like the plates of a giant capacitor.

However, a catastrophic event occurred when their aether technology destabilized the delicate balance of Mars’ planetary systems. The moon-ship was placed in a peculiar orbit, so perfectly synchronized with Earth that its “dark side” always faces away, hidden from view. Some argue this is evidence the moon is artificial, a Martian craft now serving as a monitoring outpost.

When the Martian refugees arrived, their advanced technology and long lifespans spawned the legends of gods, watchers, giants and angels found in mythologies around the world. The Anunaki of Sumerian lore are said to be a distorted retelling of these Martian colonists.

According to this theory, the descendants of the Martian exiles still exist, forming a shadowy cabal working within the highest echelons of power on Earth. Driven by an ancient oath to prevent the cataclysm that doomed their own world, they ruthlessly suppress any technology reminiscent of the aether energy system. Inventors who stumble upon the principles of “free energy” find their work censored or confiscated. The knowledge is kept hidden, used only for secret military projects by this elite Martial remnant.
